Compatibility research of laser additive repairing TA15 forgings with Ti6Al4V-xTA15 alloy

The application of mixed powders with different mass fraction on laser additive repairing (LAR) can be an effective way to guarantee the performance and functionality repaired part in time. A convenient feasible approach is presented repair TA15 forgings by employing Ti6Al4V-xTA15 this paper. compatibility from aspects microhardness, tensile property, heat capacity, thermal expansion coefficient corrosion resistance was fully investigated. primary α laths were refined volume secondary phase increased increasing powders, leading varied performances. In conclusion, Ti6Al4V-70%TA15 (x=70%) most suitable candidate recommended as raw material for LAR based overall consideration calculations zone wrought substrate zone.
